About Mukuba University

Mukuba University is located in Itimpi, about 14 km from the city of Kitwe, off the Chingola Road. It opened in 1974 as Copperbelt Secondary Teachers College (COSETCO), to train secondary school teachers of Mathematics, Science and Home Economics at Diploma level.

Currently the institution offers degree programmes in Mathemetics and Science to both fulltime and distance learning students and has an enrolment of 1,200 students.

The institution is undergoing rapid infrastructure development which includes the construction of additional student hostels, lecturer rooms, lecture theaters and a modern library.
